Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The “Car-Free Day” project may be launched in Tashkent, within the framework of which the heads and employees of all republican and regional executive bodies with offices in the capital will use public transport every month to travel to work.

This proposal was included in the draft State Program for the implementation of the Strategy “Uzbekistan – 2030” in the Year of Support for Youth and Business.

This was proposed to reduce the impact of automobile gas emissions on the environment.

It is proposed to assign responsibility for the implementation of the project to the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, the Ministry of Transport and the city administration (khokimiyat) of Tashkent.
