Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 30 October 2020 "On measures for the widespread introduction of a healthy lifestyle and the further development of mass sports" and the state program for the current year, the popularization of physical culture and mass sports among the population, the achievement of regular sports activities and the formation of healthy lifestyle skills among the residents of our country are identified as one of the most priority tasks.
Mass sports events, such as a running marathon, play an important role in this. After all, running is good for the cardiovascular system, promotes oxygen saturation of the blood, is an effective means of relieving nervous tension and helps the body produce the hormone endorphin. In addition, running regularly increases mental performance, strengthens the immune system, and repairs damaged liver cells.
In line with these initiatives useful for the population, the III Tashkent International Marathon will be held in the capital on March 28. Within its framework, a marathon (42 km 195 m), a half marathon (21 km 97.5 m), an ekiden (5 km, 10 km, 5 km, 10 km, 5 km, 7 km 195 m) and a 3 km race will be held.
During the marathon, strict adherence to quarantine rules is required.
