The British publication shares an article on why it is worth to travel to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The British publication inews.co.uk published an article on why it is worth to travel to Uzbekistan.

“Uzbekistan is ready for the tourist “boom”in 2020 with the ancient cities of the Great Silk Road, beautiful art and magnificent architecture. Perhaps Central Asia is not included in the list of destinations where you plan to go, but this is just a great place to travel,” Martin Kent wrote in his article.

The article notes that Uzbekistan is changing rapidly, and a number of reforms are being carried out in the country to attract even more tourists to the ancient cities of the Great Silk Road. “While high-speed rail services are improving and new airlines are operating, most citizens, including the British, do not need visas. From 2017 to 2018, the number of tourists doubled to 5.3 million people,” the author writes.

Also in the center of the capital, next to the Uzbekistan Hotel, there is a statue of Amir Temur. The metro network, built in 1977, was called the "photographer’s dream." Along with this, the fare and metro stations that attract attention are also not left without attention.

The article also refers to such cities as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. “In Samarkand, I saw amazing architectural beauty. Minarets, mosques, madrassas and tombs impressed me. I was surprised by Khiva, who retained her original appearance thanks to the protection of UNESCO for many years, as well as Bukhara, known with its ancient monuments as the most impressive place in Central Asia, ”the author writes.
