For their first disc, the Atanasov Trio received the most prestigious award in the field of classical music, Diapason d’Or (Golden Range). And in their subsequent performances, this high level became the trio’s calling card. Musicians always pay attention to the quality of interpretations, performed with a subtle combination of emotion and precision.

The collaboration that has united Perceval Gilles, Sara Sultan and Pierre-Kaloyan Atanassov since the trio’s founding in 2007 has been based on a single spirit and shared values: artistic integrity and rigor, a passion for musical exploration combined with a deep sense of co-creation. The musicians formulate their credo as follows: “To touch, to surprise, to take our listeners on a journey and offer them the opportunity to share the emotions that we experienced while discovering the works that we present to them.”

The result of this mastery was a style of playing, clarity, which received unanimous recognition and which allowed the trio to shine at leading international competitions: winners of competitions in Frankfurt and Graz, the Atanasov trio is also a prize winner at competitions in Osaka and Trondheim, at the Joseph Haydn competition in Vienna and at the Joseph Joachim competition in Weimar.

These awards were the prelude to a career that took the trio to the four corners of Europe, from Vienna’s Musikverein to the Alte Oper in Frankfurt, through the Wigmore Hall in London and at Folle Journe, the Radio France and Montpellier festivals or the Paris Philharmonic.

The concert program consists of works by such composers as Ravel, Lily Boulanger, Turina and Ersan.
