Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Asian Women’s Forum began its work in Samarkand on the topic “Regional approach to expanding the economic, social and political rights and opportunities of women.”

Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva read a welcoming address from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the participants of the forum “Regional approach to expanding the economic, social and political rights and opportunities of women.”

The Forum is attended by more than 30 distinguished guests, representatives of foreign countries and international organizations - women members of the parliaments of East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia and Central Asia, heads of government, representatives of more than 40 representative offices of foreign countries in our country and foreign organizations , as well as local government bodies, as well as about 400 representatives of civil society institutions, women leaders, business women, political scientists, social activists, scientists, representatives of economic sectors and various fields and active women.
