This exhibition sums up the 20th anniversary of Independence, to show the society not only the development of economy, industry and public-service institutions of Uzbekistan, but also its rich national culture.
The main theme of the exhibition is the discovery of dependence between the artist and society, as the artist usually keeps away from social intercourse in his own creative pursuit, but nevertheless needs to be recognized in society.
At the exhibition are presented art works of the artists from Uzbekistan, Russia, France, Armenia and other countries, in such genres as painting, graphics, sculpture, video-art, different installation and even interactive works, which use computer and communication technologies.
The acquaintance with new works started for many guests of the Central Art Academy show-room at the entrance, where were presented installations of young artists of Uzbekistan. The main part of works was placed on the second floor, where anyone could become a part of an art work, coming inside the volumetric compositions.
Moreover, overwhelming amount of works was accomplished within recent years. Altogether at the Biennale were presented more than 200 works of 70 artists.
Some authors of the works attended the grand opening, so they could describe their own ideas and share with their creative plans with the guests of the VI Tashkent Biennale of modern art.
