Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Abdusalam Khatamov met with Deputy Prime Minister of Oman for Defense Said Shihab bin Tariq al-Said, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, the Uzbek side presented information on the modern development of Uzbekistan and its policy aimed at strengthening relations with the Arab states of the Persian Gulf in the areas of trade, investment and other areas.

The role of establishing direct flights in the development of bilateral relations was also discussed.

From the Omani side, it was noted that Muscat is following the reform process in Uzbekistan with interest. The work done on transformations in Uzbekistan was highly appreciated, and readiness to provide assistance in the further development of ties between the two states was expressed.
