Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law on amendments and additions to the Law on Volunteering.

According to the additions made, the Agency for Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports is a specially authorized state body in the field of volunteering.

Agency including:

participates in the implementation of state policy in this area;

develops and implements draft legal acts;

makes proposals for improving legislation.

The law defines the powers of the Republican executive authorities in the field of volunteering.

Also, local government authorities were given the authority to develop draft regulations in the field, to implement state targeted programs.
