Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation led by the chief adviser to the Minister of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan F. Azizi made an official visit to Surkhandarya region of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the delegation got acquainted with the activities of the international trade center in Termez, and also held a meeting with representatives of the region. Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan also took part in the event.

Trade center representatives introduced the Afghan delegation to various facilities such as retail stores, warehouses, hospitals, hotels and educational institutions.

During the negotiations, the active development of export-import operations between the two countries was noted, and the trade center acquired strategic importance in expanding economic cooperation.

The issue of introducing a 15-day visa-free regime for Afghan businessmen planning to work in this shopping center was also discussed.
