Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 December, Director of the Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bahodir Begalov and representatives of the Agency took part in the 68th regular online meeting of the Council of Heads of Statistical Departments of the CIS member states.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee, the CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

During the meeting, the work program of the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States for 2024, work on the implementation of the CIS Statistics Development project, a report on the activities of the Council of Heads of Statistical Services for 2020-2023, a quiz in the statistical bodies of the CIS in 2024 and preparations for the upcoming 69th meeting of the Council were discussed.

During the event, the heads of statistical offices of the CIS member states summed up the results of the year and highly appreciated the work carried out by the Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS. We agreed to continue the implementation of the work program of the Interstate Statistical Committee of the CIS for 2024, activities within the framework of the project “Development of Statistics of the CIS" and other promising areas of cooperation.
