Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, 13 September marks the 30th anniversary of fruitful cooperation between Uzbekistan Airways and Lufthansa Technik AG, one of the world leaders in the field of aircraft repair and maintenance. As part of the celebration of this significant date, an event was organized on the territory of the Uzbekistan Airways Technics enterprise with the participation of representatives of both companies.

Thirty years ago, specialists from the aircraft repair company Uzbekistan Airways Technics were trained at Lufthansa Technik AG. A start was given for the complete re-equipment of the repair department to master new equipment and obtain international certificates. Mutually beneficial cooperation with the German airline today demonstrates excellent results: UAT provides aircraft repair and maintenance services at the level of world standards. It is worth noting that Uzbekistan Airways Technics is one of the largest specialized enterprises in the CIS countries.

It is worth noting that cooperation with the German airline consisted not only in training specialists and repairing spare parts, but also in studying the market for aircraft repair services and creating a customer base for Uzbekistan Airways Technics. Since 1997, the engineering and technical staff of UAT has independently provided technical maintenance for each new aircraft that has joined the airline’s fleet.

Uzbekistan Airways Techinics LLC is a structural division of Uzbekistan Airways JSC, which has more than 98 years of experience in the field of maintenance and repair of aircraft, engines and components. The modern UAT complex carries out maintenance and repair of virtually all current types of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
