Textile producers of Uzbekistan sign multimillion-dollar contracts for the export of textile products to the Polish market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14-18 November, one of the largest international textile exhibitions in Europe Fast Textile 2022 was held at the Ptak Warsaw Expo exhibition site in the Polish capital, in which a delegation of Uzbekistan consisting of more than 60 people representing about 40 textile companies of the country took part in it, Dunyo news agency reports.

In total, more than 600 companies from 45 countries of the world took part in the Fast Textile 2022 exhibition. This year, Uzbekistan took part in the exposition with an impressive national stand of about 400 square meters under the Made in Uzbekistan brand.

According to the Embassy of our country, every year the interest in this exhibition is increasing both from Uzbek manufacturers of textile products and Polish importing companies. If in 2018 7 companies from Uzbekistan signed contracts worth US$15 million, then export contracts worth US$27 million were signed within the framework of this exhibition.

Demand for Uzbek textile products in Poland is growing rapidly. The export of textile products from Uzbekistan to Poland in 2021 amounted to US$67.5 million (48% of all Uzbek textile exports to the EU countries). This figure is expected to reach US$75 million in 2022.

This exhibition will have a great impact on a significant increase in the volume of textile products exported to Poland, which, according to forecasts, will reach approximately 85-90 million dollars by the end of 2023. At the same time, there is a steady trend to increase the volume of export earnings of ready-made clothes and home textiles instead of threads, yarn and linen.

The exhibition also demonstrated that a distinctive trend is the desire of Uzbek enterprises to produce finished products, thereby improving technical equipment and modernizing production. This allows you to reduce labor costs and increase the output of finished products.

Polish importers noted the very high quality of Uzbek textiles, including finished products, which is the most important factor in increasing demand in the Polish and European markets.

Within the framework of the exhibition, master classes and trainings were organized to familiarize visitors of the exhibition with the achievements of Poland in the textile industry. In addition, a conference was held with the participation of Uzbek, Polish and foreign textile workers, B2B and G2B meetings were held, a visit to the largest in Europe Warsaw textile trade center GD International, as well as the city of Lodz, where two Uzbek textile trading houses were opened.
