Tender on sale of Kokand Spirt prolonged
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The State Commission of Uzbekistan for conducting tenders on sale of the state property to the foreign investors prolonged a tender on sale of 47% shares of Kokand Spirt (Kokand Alcohol) to foreign investors due to the lack of competitive proposals.
Now, the bid submission deadline expires at 12 a.m. Tashkent time on the 16 December 2008. Earlier, the deadline was on 10 November 2008.
Starting price of propose shares is US$8.159 million and the investor should undertake investment obligation for US$3 million.
Kokand Spirt open joint-stock company is located in Kokand (Ferghana region). The enterprise was founded in 1983, its major activity was production of mineral fertilizers. Since 1991 the enterprise has changed its specialization and began producing ethyl alcohol. Production capacity of the plant is 2.4 million decalitres of alcohol per year.
