Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Temporary disruptions in the provision of some government services related to passport and address operations are observed in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Justice said.

The Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent also noted that from 10 June, there have been disruptions in the functioning of the "Administrative Practice" and "Registration and Examination Department" systems of the Traffic Police in the city. These problems are associated with preventive maintenance work in the unified automated information system.

Additionally, disruptions have affected the systems for issuing ID cards and registering permanent and temporary residence addresses at the Migration and Citizenship Office of the capital’s Department of Internal Affairs.

Today in Tashkent, there was heavy smoke near the Kosmonavtlar metro station. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire has been extinguished, and there is no more smoke. The cause of the incident was the pinching of electrical wires in an underground tunnel.

Regional Electric Networks reported that the ignition, caused by a short circuit, led to damage to the cable connected to the 35/10/6 kV substation "Uzbekistan".

As a result, some consumers in Yakkasaray and Mirabad districts have been temporarily disconnected from the power supply during the repair work.
