Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – From 1 July, Uzbekistan may cancel the payment of tax cashback when registering fiscal receipts if payment is made in cash. This was reported by Gazety.uz.

This is envisaged by the draft presidential resolution on the implementation of comprehensive measures to combat the shadow economy.

The document has not been published for public discussion yet. The draft resolution is undergoing approval by ministries and departments.

Cashback of 1% will continue to be returned when paying through mobile applications and plastic cards in the field of trade, services and catering.

The developers of the document are also discussing the option of increasing payments to 2% for non-cash payments.

As part of improving the cashback and sales receipt system, it is planned to minimize the human factor in the “tax partner” module and strictly monitor the non-disclosure of information about the partner, indicate the exact reasons for rejecting the cashback amount, and also exclude from the list of reasons for refusing cashback the seller's incorrect entry of the IKPU (identification code products and services).
