Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Newly elected Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held its first session in Tashkent on 22 January 2010. MPs reviewed several organizational issues, including election of speaker and deputy speakers of the Legislative Chamber. Dilorom Tashmuhamedova has been re-elected as the speaker of lower chamber of parliament. Tashmuhamedova worked as speaker of previous parliament from 2008. She is the first women-speaker in the Central Asian region. MPs also elected five deputies of the speaker of Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan.
