Construction of Tashkent television tower has been started in 1977 and it was constructed during eight years. The construction was ended on 15 January 1985.

Tashkent television tower is unique technical establishment in Central Asian region. The tower is listed among the highest towers of the world. It occupies ninth place among the highest towers of the world.
