Tashkent Tractor Plant to increase goods export by 20% in 2010
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Tashkent Tractor Plant, an only tractor producer in Central Asia, is planning to increase exports of products by 20% in 2010 compared to 2009. The enterprise exported products for US$2 million in 2009.
Within the localization programme, the enterprise is implementing 12 projects. Currently, the localization level reached 60%. In line with forecast, the plant will produce goods for ninety billion soums.
Tashkent Tractor Plant established cooperation with foreign companies to expand products assortment and deepen localization of products.
In summer 2010, the enterprise set up a joint venture UzClaasAgro with Germany’s Claas. The venture produces grain harvesters, baler and other equipment.
The enterprise also established cooperation with MAN Uzbekistan JV. Samarkand-based venture receives semitrailer and container vessel for production of trucks.
