Tashkent International Tourism Fair, has been organized since 1995, is one of the largest events in Central Asia. The event is aimed at professionals of the Uzbek and foreign tourism market.

This year, the fair occupied two halls of UzExpoCenter. Leading national and regional tourism offices are participating at the fair.

Over 500 tour operators from 36 countries are participating Tashkent tourism fair. Among participants are companies from Azerbaijan, Germany, Greece, India, Kazakhstan, China, Cyprus, Malaysia, UAE, Russia, Thailand, Turkey and others. Jordan makes debut this year.

The main task of this year’s fair is to present visitors all necessary information on various products and tourism routes. The forum will also sum up summer season’s results and determine trends for next year.

Uzbekistan will present national exposition “Tourism of Uzbekistan”, which present development of tourism market development in Uzbekistan. The exposition will have such topical sections as “Uzbekistan – tourism country”, “Transport services”, “Restaurants of Uzbekistan”, etc. The exposition will demonstrate brands of each regions of Uzbekistan.

Within the exhibition, the 5th International Meeting on the Silk Road will be held in Samarkand on 8-9 October 2010.
