Tashkent to restrict traffic on 22 May for national team send-off

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tashkent Traffic Management Center has announced temporary traffic restrictions on 22 May due to a farewell event for Uzbekistan’s national team ahead of the World Cup.

According to the information, restrictions will be in effect from 16:00 to 21:00 on several streets of the capital and are being introduced to ensure safety and high-level organization of the event.

During this period, traffic may be periodically restricted on multiple sections of the city, including routes from the Chilanzar–Chuponota intersection along Chuponota Street to the Chuponota–Katortol intersection, as well as from the KHAI–Chilanzar intersection along Chilanzar Street to the Chilanzar–Chuponota intersection.

Restrictions will also apply to the section from the KHAI–Bunyodkor intersection along the secondary road of Bunyodkor Street to the Bunyodkor–Chuponota intersection, from the Nurofshon–Sebzor intersection along Sebzor Street to the Islam Karimov–Bunyodkor intersection, and from the Islam Karimov–Bunyodkor intersection along Bunyodkor Street to the Bunyodkor–Second Katortol intersection.

Drivers are advised to plan alternative routes in advance and take temporary restrictions into account when moving around the city.
