Speaking at the session of Tashkent city council of deputies, Islam Kaimov said there is no secret that speed of existing trams and trolleybuses did not meet modern requirements.

Uzbek leader said that the country had to refuse from old trams and trolleybuses to expand roads in Tashkent city.

He added that now Tashkent is planning to organize services of high speed trams between districts.
