Tashkent to host second stage of FIDE Grand Prix
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
World Chess Federation (FIDE) announced four venues for FIDE Men’s Grand Prix for 2014-2015, National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The first stage will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, on 1-15 October 2014. Tashkent will host the second venue from 20 October to 3 November 2014.
The third stage will be held in Tehran (Iran) on 14-28 February 2015 and next stage will take place in Moscow (Russia) on 13-27 May 2015.
Sixteen chess players will participate in the Grand Prix. Eleven of them will be selected in line with rules, hosting nations will be represented by one chess player and FIDE President will nominate one more player.
