The first national software exhibition "Best Soft – Uzbekistan 2007" will be held on 17-18 May at the Central Exhibition Hall of the Arts Academy of Uzbekistan.

The main aim of the exhibition is to demonstrate the achievements and development prospects of the software products industry of Uzbekistan.

Over 40 software developers showed interest in participation. It is expected that companies from Russia and Kazakhstan will attend the exposition along with the local suppliers.

In the framework of the exhibition, a number of educational, cultural, and entertainment events will be conducted.

Participants have the opportunity to participate in the national contest and the winners will be determined in such nominations as "Best software product – Brand of the Year", "Best integration project of 2006", "Best company in the sphere of IT-education".

The slogan of the exhibition, "We programme your success", reflects the strategic line of the organizers, implying that computer programme may become the technological foundation for Uzbekistan’s breakthrough into modern global information economy.
