The federation said that the Grand Prix will be held in Tashkent on 5-6 October 2013.

Earlier, Tashkent hosted large events on judo such as Asian Championship and World Cup. Uzbekistan has positive experience of hosting such events, the federation said.

It is worth to mention that ten Grand Prix tournaments held each year, of which four are Grand Slams and one - Masters, one - World Championship and one – continental championship. All these tournaments allow athletes to collect rating points.

Armen Bagdasarov, President of Uzbekistan Judo Federation, said that Uzbekistan will do its best to host the event in high level. Uzbekistan will be represented with the strongest team, including Rishod Sobirov.
