Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23-24 September 2022, Tashkent will host an international scientific and technical conference "New horizons for low-carbon development in the world and in Uzbekistan". It was organized by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Research Institute of Renewable Energy Sources organized under it.

At the opening of the forum, it is planned to welcome the participants on behalf of the leadership of the Ministry of Energy, the Academy of Sciences and the Parliament of Uzbekistan.

During the plenary session, reports on low-carbon development issues will be made by members of the leadership of the UNDP and EBRD offices in Uzbekistan, specialized research institutes.

The forum program will also include presentations by investors and leading companies in the world, the exchange of global and regional experience in the field of renewable energy. In particular, a representative of the Institute of Nanotechnology of the University of Texas (USA) will share such experience in the application of nanotechnologies for the production of solar collectors of a new generation.

The two-day conference will provide an opportunity to exchange advanced knowledge of leading specialists in the renewable energy sector, to reach preliminary agreements that can be the beginning of promising projects to accelerate achievements in the low-carbon economy.
