Osiyo Ramzi Association of Designers, Ministry of Culture and Sport Affairs of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of Uzbekistan in partnership with Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry organized the festival.
The Festival is a design competition, which takes place in three stages. The first stage was held in February-March 2014. The designs and materials of the collections were approved at this stage. Some 80 designers attended the first stage.
The second stage was held in May-June. During the event, the participants presented ready examples of their models. The third, final, stage will be held in December and the models will be shown.
During the final stage, over 160 models and 18 collections of 24 designers will be shown, the organizers said.
Each collection was created with use of traditional fabrics of Tashkent and Ferghana regions, jewelry and styles of Khorezm region, gold-embroidery art of Bukhara, architecture heritage of Samarkand, ornaments and knitting technologies of Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Karakalpakstan.
