Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Two gas turbine units are being built at the Tashkent Thermal Power Plant as part of an investment project. The total capacity of this project, the general contractor of which is the Turkish company Calik Enerji, is 64 MW.

Recently, the first gas turbine unit from the Japanese company Mitsubishi was delivered to the construction site.

Upon completion of the project, the annual electricity generation will be 515 million kWh and heat energy 630 thousand Gcal. 

As a result, 219 thousand cubic meters of natural gas will be saved and more than 40 new jobs will be created.
