Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A regular FIBA Asia CABA (Central Asian Basketball Association) conference was held in Almaty on 13 February.

During the event, Tashkent received the status of the headquarters of Central Asian FIBA Asia. In addition, FBU First Vice President Khurshid Giyasov will head the CABA treasury, and FBU General Secretary Ravshan Ganiyev will perform the same duties on a zonal scale.

This decision was made by representatives of the national federations of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan. The conference was attended by the Secretary General of FIBA Asia Agop Hadzhiryan.

Earlier, the headquarters of Central Asian FIBA Asia was located in Almaty.
