Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  From January to September 2024, the Tashkent Metro transported 190.1 million passengers, according to data from the Statistics Agency.

This figure surpasses the same period last year by 73.4 million, reflecting a remarkable increase of 162.9%.

In 2024, the passenger flow in the Tashkent Metro is expected to reach a new record of 209 million people, as reported by the chief engineer of the capital’s underground system, Mirkhokim Mirhusanov.

He also noted that on 7 October, the daily number of passengers reached 990,000, with a forecast of increasing to 1 million by 1 November. Additionally, the interval between train movements has been reduced.
