Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The transition to license plates with code 02 in Tashkent is expected no earlier than in 68 years, according to the Road Safety Service.

This evaluation period is based on the maximum number of possible digit combinations for the current code 01, which is 17 million.

The service clarifies that taking into account the annual re-registration and deletion of 5% of license plates, the exhaustion of all possible numbers with code 01 and the transition to the next code 02 will require approximately 68 years.

This assumes that the new code will only come into use once the 17 million vehicle mark has been reached.
