Tashkent leads Uzbekistan in average age of population — 32.6 years
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 January 2025, the average age of the population in the Republic of Uzbekistan was 29.3 years, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.
A breakdown by region shows that the capital, Tashkent, has the highest average age at 32.6 years. It is followed by Bukhara Region at 30.9 years, Tashkent Region at 30.8 years, and Navoi Region at 29.9 years.
In Ferghana Region, the average age is 29.8 years, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan — 29.5 years, and in both Andijan and Khorezm regions — 29.3 years.
Namangan Region has an average age of 28.8 years, Syrdarya — 28.5 years, and Samarkand — 28.3 years.
Jizzakh Region stands at 28.2 years, while Kashkadarya has an average age of 27.6 years. Surkhandarya Region has the youngest population, with an average age of 27.3 years.
