Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent khokimiyat offered business premises under the metro lines. At least 50 thousand square meters can be used for commercial purposes along the overpasses.

According to the khokimiyat, there are about 100 thousand square meters of unused territory along the overpasses. At least half of these areas can be used to generate income for entrepreneurs.

The cost of purchasing these premises or renting them will be “much more acceptable” than on the lower floors of residential buildings, the khokimiyat noted. Among other things, they can open a store, a coffee shop or a gaming area.

A pilot project to create commercial premises next to the 2nd metro station (current Yashnabad) took place in the summer of 2022. Then, as stated in the khokimiyat, it was decided to build blocks under the stretch between the 3rd and 4th stations (Tuzel - Olmos).

Now it is planned to organize business premises in two stages: first to the Rokhat station, then to Kuylyuk. To complete the work as quickly as possible, the forces of the khokimiyats of Tashkent and the Yashnabad region have been involved.

The Investment Department of the capital’s administration announced the possibility of renting premises in the above locations.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the construction of premises under the ring line the previous week. According to the presidential press service, 36 retail and service points will be created here, as well as parking lots, sports and children’s playgrounds.
