The forum was organized by the Ministry of foreign economic relations, investments and trade of Uzbekistan and directed at discussing expansion of trade-economic and investment cooperation between two states.

The forum was attended by heads of ministries and departments, companies and organizations of the two countries working in the areas of economy, trade, investments, banking and finance, IT, pharmaceuticals, tourism, construction sector, machinery building, energy and furniture production.

At the forum, the participants discussed issues of expanding cooperation in trade-economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Slovenia, attracting Slovenian companies in the privatization process of Uzbekistan and implementing joint projects in Navoi free industrial and economic zone.

Within the business forum, business circles of two states participated in cooperation exchange to establish ties and discuss implementation of joint projects.

Currently, eight joint ventures with Slovenian capital are operating in Uzbekistan, of which two are with 100% Slovenian investment.

Representative offices of pharmaceutical companies LEK and KRKA, firms operating in production of furniture and telecommunication sector, accredited at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan.
