Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 27 October, representatives of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the "Day of the German Economy" conference, held at the Hyatt Regency Tashkent hotel with the support of the Representative Office of the German Economy in Central Asia.

The event was also attended by more than 100 representatives of the German and Uzbek business community, investors, as well as heads and specialists of ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.

The main goal of the conference is to identify prospects and opportunities for further expansion of business ties, development of bilateral trade, promotion of joint investment projects and initiatives, in general - strengthening ties between the business circles of both countries.

The conference program included reports and presentations on the most promising industries such as "Agro-industrial sector", "Mining and metallurgy" and "Chemical industry". German companies that are already active in the region spoke in detail about their activities and shared their experience in their respective fields.

Within the framework of the conference, negotiations and meetings in the B2B and G2B format were also held, during which representatives of politics and business from both countries were able to discuss opportunities and prospects for business cooperation.
