Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 May 2023, the 44th meeting of the Council of Telecommunication and Infocommunication Operators of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications was held in Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting was attended by delegations of full members of the SO ESI RCC: LLC Aztelecom, RUE Beltelecom, JSC Kazakhtelecom, OJSC Kyrgyztelecom, PJSC Rostelecom, OJSC Tajiktelecom, OJSC Tajiktelecom, JSC Uzbektelecom .

The meeting was attended by representatives of regulatory bodies: the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting was also attended by:

- RCC ESI SO observers: Intersputnik MOCS, FSUE Kosmicheskaya Svyaz, FSUE NIIR, JSC Republican Center for Space Communications, Iskratel Ltd, HUAWEI, One Web;

- Associate members: PJSC MegaFon, RIPE NCC;

- Invited guests: ITU Regional Office for the CIS region, Ruskhaytechekport LLC and the leadership of the RCC Executive Committee.

The meeting was opened and moderated by Chairman of the Council of Telecommunication Operators and Infocommunications of the RCC, Director General of RUE Beltelecom Yury Nikolayevich Petruchenya.

The participants were welcomed by:

- Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbektelecom" Khasanov Nazirzhon Nabizhanovich;

- Director of the Telecommunications Development Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union, Dr. Cosmas Lakison Zawazava;

- General Director of the RCC Executive Committee Mukhitdinov Nurudin Nasretdinovich.

At the 44th meeting of the Council of Operators, the practice of holding round tables on topical issues of the industry development was continued:

- on the priority areas of activity of operators in the implementation of digital economy programs in the countries of RCC participants,

- on measures taken in the countries of the RCC participants to combat fraud (fraud) on communication networks.

The meeting participants considered a number of issues:

- on the existing transit communication networks and the construction of promising networks;

- on the proposals of the Working Group on Satellite Technologies under the Council of Telecommunication and Infocommunication Operators of the RCC;

- exchange of experience in information security accumulated by enterprises, including in the provision of services;

- on the proposals of the Working Group on Development, Management and Operation of Communication Networks under the Council of Telecommunication and Infocommunication Operators of the RCC;

- on implementation of the decisions of the 43rd meeting of the Council of Telecommunication and Infocommunication Operators of the RCC;

- on the preparation of RCC participants for the largest ITU forums: the ITU World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly in 2024, the ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference in 2025, and the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference in 2026;

- on the election of the Chairman and Vice-Chairmen of the Council of Telecommunication and Infocommunication Operators of the RCC;

- on the place, time and agenda of the 45th meeting of the Council of Telecommunication and Infocommunication Operators of the RCC.

The meeting elected for the next period the following composition of the Board of Telecommunication and Infocommunication Operators of the RCC - Chairman of the Council of Telecommunication and Infocommunication Operators of the RCC - Director General of RUE Beltelecom Yury Nikolayevich Petruchenya.

At the meeting, it was proposed to elect the heads of national Telecoms as Vice-Chairmen of the Council of Telecommunication and Infocommunication Operators of the RCC.

The holding of the 44th meeting of the CO ESI RCC contributed to a more productive work of the meeting participants when discussing strategic tasks for the implementation of digital economy programs, as well as issues on information security and making constructive decisions.

In conclusion, the participants of the meeting expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC "Uzbektelecom" for the excellent organization of the 44th meeting of the Council of Telecommunication and Infocommunication Operators of the RCC for the well-coordinated and clear work to create a constructive business and friendly atmosphere.

As a result, all assigned tasks were successfully solved.
