Tashkent court refuses request of Uzdunrobita creditors
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Economic court of Tashkent refused request of creditors of Uzdunrobita, a subsidiary of Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems, on announcement of the company as bankrupt and launch of liquidation process.

However, the details decision will be announced later after the court sends its act. Currently, it is known that the court session on bankruptcy will be held on 22 April 2013.

The court entrusted temporary manager of Uzdunrobita to hold a meeting of creditors in line with set rules on further bankruptcy procedures.

Last week, creditors of Uzdunrobita adopted a decision to submit application to economic court on announcement of the company as bankrupt and start liquidation process.

Uzdunrobita has filed a petition to declare bankruptcy in the Tashkent Economic Court in July 2013. The application was submitted after it cannot fulfill its obligations in line with the decisions of Tashkent city court from 17 September 2012 and Appeal Board of Tashkent court from 8 November 2012. In line with court decisions, Uzdunrobita should pay fines and penalties for about US$600 million.
