Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2024, residents of Uzbekistan made 13.5 million emergency calls, a number that remained nearly unchanged compared to the previous year, according to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Of the total number of calls, 9.7 million were related to emergencies, 3.4 million were for individuals with chronic illnesses, and 91,000 calls were related to childbirth.
Ferghana region topped the list with 1.4 million emergency calls. Tashkent and Andijan regions ranked second and third, respectively. These three regions have consistently maintained their positions as the leaders in the number of emergency calls over the year.
In contrast, fewer people sought emergency medical assistance in Navoi (402,000 calls), Syrdarya (454,000 calls), and Jizzakh (548,000 calls) regions.
