Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Acting Khokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov received a delegation led by the Chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan Fuad Muradov.

At the beginning of the meeting, which was held in a friendly atmosphere, Sh. Umurzakov thanked the guests for their visit and congratulated Heydar Aliyev, a well-known Azerbaijani political and public figure, on the recent 100th birth anniversary.

Emphasizing the progressive development of bilateral relations on the basis of documents and agreements signed at high-level meetings of the heads of the two states, he noted that there is a large untapped potential in the economy, services, culture, tourism, education and other areas. In particular, in order to accelerate cultural cooperation, he proposed holding Days of Baku in Tashkent and Days of Tashkent in Baku.

In turn, F. Muradov thanked for the reception, highly appreciated the level of improvement and landscaping of our capital, and expressed special gratitude for the respect and attention to the culture of Azerbaijan, and more than 40 thousand Azerbaijanis living in the capital.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the practical dialogue, expand friendly and partnership relations.
