Tashkent Airoport to be relocated by 2030
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is planning to relocate Tashkent Airport to new territory by 2030. The feasibility study of general plan of Tashkent city said.

Econews.uz said that issue on relocation of airport to outside of the city, in line with town construction and ecologic requirements, was raised in projects from 1970.

Tashkent Airport is located within the city territory and occupies 520 hectares, which prevents development of city in southern direction.

Zones, located near airport, have high intensive microwave radiation (normative figures exceed 25-229 times in radius of 200-1500 meters). Some 2,220 hectares, where 360,000 people live, are located in noise discomfort, created by the airport.
