"TAPO will continue its cooperation in mass-producing Il-76-family aircraft at the Ulyanovsk-based Aviastar-SP aircraft plant as a supplier of parts and components," deputy head of the defense industry department of the Russian Industry and Energy Ministry Valery Voskoboinikov told Interfax-AVN.

TAPO is now joining the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), thus, it will not encounter any obstacles in the aforementioned cooperation in Ulyanovsk, he said.

Russia and Uzbekistan signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in aircraft-building and integrating TAPO and the Russian UAC on Wednesday.

"As far as Il-114 aircraft, which are in demand with both Russian and foreign air carriers, are concerned, TAPO will continue their production," Voskoboinikov said.

According to him, the Tashkent aircraft plant currently mass produces three modifications of the Il-114, but the number is expected to grow.
