MPs, representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Demonopolization Committee and other specialists participated at the session.

Participants discussed implementation of a law “On advertisement” in Samarkand region and Tashkent city.

It was said that share of Tashkent city in total advertisement market of Uzbekistan makes up 52%. Some 200 advertisement companies are registered in Tashkent and some 68 of them are specialized advertisement companies. Some 32% of 4,113 outdoor advertisement places are high technologic places, which use LCD displays. Some 35% of advertisement in Uzbekistan distributed via TV, 24% - radio, 23% - print media and 18% - outdoor advertisement.

The advertisement market is also developing in the regions of Uzbekistan, in particular in Samarkand region. Some 42% of advertisements in the regions are distributed via TV, 14%- radio, 28% - print media and 16% - outdoor advertisement.

The session noted that 70% of advertisements are in national language and 80% of advertisements are products and services of local producers.

The participants of the session discussed development of advertisement market, its current state and perspectives, regulation of the market, etc.

They also considered violations in the market. It was noted that 774 cases of violations were recorded in 2011 and the first half of 2012, and major part of violations are related with distribution of inadequate advertisement, non-adherence to limitations at broadcasting advertisement via TV, violation on regulation of advertisement placement, etc. Major part of violations fell to share of Tashkent city.

The committee adopted decisions on the considered issues.
