Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva is on a working visit to Kashkadarya region to get acquainted with the ongoing work on the socio-economic development of the territories, improving the well-being of the population, ensuring employment for women, as well as the activities of the “makhalla seven” and local Kengashes.

Narbayeva, during a meeting in Kasan district with deputies of Kasan and Mubarek district Kengashes of people’s deputies, focused on the tasks arising from the Presidential Decree “On measures to improve the efficiency of local government bodies.”

Thus, an exchange of views took place on the effective use of the institution of deputy control to improve the efficiency of the local Kengashes, the establishment of effective deputy control over the implementation of tasks identified for the socio-economic development of territories.

Along with this, tasks have been identified to strengthen interaction with the “makhalla seven” to identify and eliminate problems of the population.

Also, at the Yertepa mahalla in Karshi district, a dialogue took place with deputies of the local Kengash. During the meeting, recommendations were made to provide the population with decent work, promote the resolution of social issues in mahallas, and bring current issues for discussion at sessions of the local Kengash and standing commissions.
