The source said that Kazakhstan started to deliver electricity to Tajikistan through the energy system of Uzbekistan from the third ten days of January.
"Tajikistan has received about 15m kWh of Kazakh electricity since the beginning of February, and from the first day when the transmission started, the country received about 20m kWh of electricity from Kazakhstan," the source said.
Electricity is supplied to Tajikistan through Uzbekistan’s energy systems via the high-voltage transmission line 507, the source added.
According to the source, this transmission line is not the same used for delivering Turkmen electricity [to Tajikistan] earlier.
Uzbekistan stopped supplying Turkmen power to Tajikistan via its territory.
