Surkhon Arena Reopens After Major Renovation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Surkhon Arena in Termez has officially reopened after completing a major renovation. The reconstruction project, carried out from 2023 to 2025 with the support of the general sponsor, Eriell Group, has elevated the sports infrastructure to a new level.
The renovated stadium, located in the central part of Termez, now meets the highest standards. The seating capacity of the stands is 10,599 spectators, providing comfortable conditions for fans of the professional football club "Surkhon."
"Surkhon" is one of the oldest teams in Uzbekistan, founded in 1968 and representing the region in the Super League. After several seasons of playing away, the club is finally returning to its home arena, where it will be greeted by not only loyal fans but also fundamentally new infrastructure.
