Success of Russian policy in Central Asia depends on relations with Uzbekistan - Medvedev
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Success of Russian policy in Central Asia in many respects depends on relations of Russia with Uzbekistan, Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev said during the meeting with the newly appointed Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Vladimir Tyurdenev.

Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev requested from new Russian envoy to Uzbekistan immediately proceed to his business.

Vladimir Tyurdenev said that he will leave for Tashkent in short period.

As earlier reported, President of the Russian Federation Dmitriy Medvedev appointed Vladimir Tyurdenev to the post of the Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan on 23 November 2009.

Vladimir Tyurdenev is career diplomat and for last several years serves as Ambassador of Russia to Brazil. Earlier, he worked as director of CIS Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
