Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ilkhom Khaydarov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with Zafar Ergashev, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Thailand in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, they discussed measures for the timely implementation of agreements reached following the visit of a delegation led by Thailand’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Busadi Santipitaks, which included leaders from major Thai companies from July 19-25, 2024.

The parties exchanged views on opportunities to increase trade volumes, attract advanced technologies, and invest in the agricultural sector and food production in Uzbekistan, leveraging Thailand’s extensive experience.

Special attention was also given to deepening cultural and humanitarian ties, including the development of special tourism packages to attract travelers from Thailand to Uzbekistan.
