Strengthening partnerships with the countries of the Turkic Council

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 25 March, Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with the Secretary General of Cooperation between Turkic Speaking States Baghdad Amreev.

During the meeting, promising areas of cooperation were discussed within the framework of the activities of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, aimed at further digital integration of the member countries, including in the areas of e-government, telecommunications, mobile communications.

Particular attention was paid to such an important and promising area as the development of BPO and KPO services. As noted, today Uzbekistan is increasing its investment attractiveness due to the serious benefits provided for IT business. Also, one of the important advantages is that in Uzbekistan more than half of the population is educated youth. With this in mind, the member countries of the Turkic Council can take advantage of the opportunities provided to them and widely attract IT specialists from Uzbekistan on a competitive basis.

During the meeting, a proposal was also put forward for the participation of organizations and companies of the member countries in the ICT Week Uzbekistan, which will be held in Uzbekistan on 24-26 October 2022.
