Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Information has spread on social networks that the State Committee for Tourism Development said that wealthy Spaniards (that is, Paradores de turismo de Espana) are applying for the historical monument “Ashrathona” in Samarkand to create in it a hotel in the future.

The commercial director of the Paradores hotel chain H. Campos and his assistant M. Sotos were invited to the country not as investors, but as experts with extensive experience in the development of the hotel business, especially hotel services in historic buildings. There was no investment offer from Paradores de turismo de Espana.

During a meeting with representatives of the State Committee for Tourism Development, H. Campos noted that Ashrathona and Toshsara are architectural monuments that have the potential to create hotels in them on Paradores model.

In the event that Paradores models are developed using the experience of a Spanish company, the Committee will provide accurate information.
