Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President signed Law “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”

The document amends the laws: “On medicines and pharmaceutical activities”, “On protecting the health of citizens”, “On medicines and pharmaceutical activities” and “On narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.”

In accordance with the changes, state registration of medicinal substances (substances) is cancelled.

The Ministry of Health is entrusted with the authority to approve the procedure for classifying medicines into the category of medicines sold with a prescription and without it.

A requirement is also being introduced to indicate information about medicines sold without a prescription or with a doctor’s prescription in the instructions for their medical use and in the State Register of medicines, medical devices and medical equipment approved for use in medical practice.

Also, legal entities are granted the right to produce and manufacture certain precursors, determined by the Cabinet of Ministers within the framework of List IV, on the basis of licenses.
