The Japanese delegation included Kurata Hisaashi, Professor of Japan International University, and Hashimoto Kaori, employee of JICE.
During the meeting, the sides considered bilateral cooperation and further its development, as well as results of first selection round of JDS 2010-2011 project.
Kurata Hisaashi shared with his impressions with the results of the selection round and said 12 nominees out of 37 passed the first round and 11 of them were invited to interview. He said eight candidates will receive JDP stipend.
Japanese Grant Aid for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS) was established by the Government of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Government of Japan for the fiscal year of 1999-2000. The objective of JDS Programme is to provide Uzbekistan officials with opportunities for obtaining Master’s degree at Japanese universities in order to support human resource development policy of the Government of Uzbekistan.
